  • Love!

Not sure why all the hate -- I played on my MacBook and aside from a few slight adjustments to work with the programming for the iPad, this version is way sleeker, easy play, great graphics. I loved!
  • Not there yet

The game keeps crashing or mysteriously adds 15-20 minutes for a non-active player’s turn. If I wait it out, the game just stops. It’s frustrating. The graphics are easier to read than when the game first came out, but everything is super tiny and it’s still hard to decipher if a track is claimed or is its original color.

Drag and drop is not as easy as the old game, drags should snap in place easier. Also, with the dark map background it's harder to see the routes and trains.
  • No Pass & Play

NEW VERSION HAS NO PASS & PLAY. Whenever our family was car traveling we enjoyed playing the old version for years. Purchased this version to find out that there is NO PASS & PLAY, which makes zero sense. We very much miss being able to play during car trips.

With the new release of the old game board option now it is much easier on the visual aspect. An immediate raise to a 3 star for me. Now get in a rating system and some expansions and I’ll give it a 5

Who in the world is rating this 5 stars?? Maybe those are holdover from the old app? I was addicted to the game. New app ruined it
  • Getting better, but still a ways to go

Need to bring back the pass and play option, as well as the 1918 US Expansion pack. Great game, but kind of unfair to pay for everything on the old version and then you just lose all that.
  • Local Play

Local Play is the way our family played the original app together. It was fun BECAUSE it was not online. This is the only app we played when we were physically together, and with this new version there has not even been a response to the requests for Local Play. This app has been a favorite of our family for years. We have been waiting for the updated version. I bought this app never questioning whether the app would have the previous apps features. So sad that Local Play AND Pass and Play, the two non-online options, were not built in in the first place. I saw responses that Pass and Play would be coming, but NO responses about Local Play being added back in. I updated the review because the simplified map gives me hope - you’ve definitely listened to the feedback about how hard it was to see the map. Please consider how families and friends enjoyed the app when they were in the same place - Local Play was so nice during car rides together or while sitting around talking - just like playing a regular board game together. We don’t do that with other apps - Ticket to Ride was special and it was why we kept going back to this app as part of our regular family fun.
  • Overwhelming graphics

I was a big fan of the original app, which has been discontinued. The graphics on this new version are pretty, yet not conducive to mobile gaming. The app design feels like it was intended for a larger device, such as a tablet. Card sizes are small; and the game board feels way more overwhelming than the original app version. Gradient coloring on cards should be toned down; orange and red cards are too similar. Overall, it feels difficult to use for quick, timed game play. Excited to see improvements made, as I’m a huge fan of Ticket to Ride.
  • Disappointing

I am so disappointed in this version of TicketToRide.… The old app I played numerous times a day and enjoyed playing others that had comparable scores and the challenge of playing people at the same caliber.… Since this version doesn’t keep track of how many games you played how many games you lost or won we’re all just playing people who may or may not know what they’re doing. I also am not crazy about the characters looking shoes it’s so limited. But the worst part is I cannot see the whole game board on my iPad therefore when I’m choosing a ticket I cannot see where the route starts or stops if it goes across the whole board. Lots of glitches. If the game freezes up or my character freezes up and I leave the game I can’t reenter it…… also the old app offered a game called mega 1912 which this one doesn’t just not a fan wish they would bring the old one back
